Step into Qahwah House, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Lombard at 406 E Roosevelt Rd. This delightful coffee shop offers an authentic Yemeni coffee experience that transcends the ordinary, inviting you into a world of rich flavors and comforting aromas.

As you approach Qahwah House, the inviting ambiance beckons with warm, low lighting and the seductive scent of cardamom wafting through the air. It's not just a café; it’s a social hub where the community gathers to enjoy more than just a beverage—it's about connection, conversation, and comfort.

The menu is a journey through traditional and innovative coffee offerings. Start your culinary adventure with the Adeni Chai, a spiced tea that has captured the hearts of many—“comfort in a cup” as one customer put it. The Iced Qishr Coffee Husks, blended with ginger and cinnamon, provides a refreshing twist that is both invigorating and soothing. For those who prefer a smoother coffee experience, the Arabic Light Roast and Turkish Dark Roast promise to deliver rich and robust flavors that challenge even the most renowned chains in the area. Another standout is the Mango Iced Matcha, a vibrant drink that marries the earthy tones of matcha with luscious mango, creating a flavorful escape with every sip.

But the experiences at Qahwah House aren't limited to just beverages. The menu also boasts delectable pastries that complement your drink perfectly. Customers rave about the milk cake and the luscious dream cake, making it impossible to resist trying something sweet from the counter. The atmosphere, lively in the day and electric in the evening, makes it the perfect spot for everything from intimate catch-ups with friends to productive study sessions.

What truly sets Qahwah House apart is the sense of community fostered by its patrons. Visitors describe it as a place buzzing with camaraderie, where laughter merges seamlessly with the delightful chatter of satisfied customers. As Kaleem H. Syed stated, “The place was busy brimming with people socializing,” highlighting that it's not only about the excellent drinks, but also about the experience shared with others. Whether you're seated indoors surrounded by stunning artwork or enjoying the fresh air outside, you’ll find a perfect setting to unwind or engage.

With top-notch service and an extraordinary selection that caters to every palate, Qahwah House is not just another coffee shop; it's a celebration of culture, taste, and community. So whether you’re looking for your next caffeine fix or a cozy spot to spend a few hours, make your way to Qahwah House—you won't just leave with a cup of coffee, but a memorable experience that lingers long after the last sip.

The best tea I ever had in US. It is so addictive. A small pot easily serves 4-5 person (if you take cutting chai).

Adeni Chai at Qahwah House – Comfort in a Cup, Conversation in the Air If you're looking for more than just a cup of tea—something soulful, social, and spiced just right—Adeni Chai at Qahwah House is the experience you didn’t know you needed. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance wraps around you like a soft shawl. Warm lighting, low chatter, the scent of cardamom in the air—it’s not just a coffeehouse, it’s a cultural retreat. Whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a solo pause from a hectic day, the vibe here is calm, cozy, and real. Then there’s the Adeni Chai: Poured steaming into a delicate glass, this Yemeni classic is creamy, aromatic, and gently spiced. Notes of clove, cinnamon, and cardamom swirl with evaporated milk, making each sip feel like a hug. Not overly sweet, not overpowering—just perfectly balanced. You can taste tradition in every drop. Best shared in a pot with friends or savored slowly alone, it invites conversation. The kind that flows easily—light laughs, meaningful chats, ideas exchanged over warmth and steam. Pair it with their Khaliat Alnahl, a soft pull-apart honeycomb bread with a cream cheese center and sweet glaze, and you’ve got yourself a memorable chai moment.

Really smooth coffee - some of the best in the area. Smokes the popular chains out by a mile. I also loved the milk cake and my husband said the dream cake was delicious - can’t wait to try some more of the pastries, especially the croissants.

Loved the Adani chai! The place has a good vibe and the service was excellent. Good hangout spot as well. One pot tea is good for 4 people i would say.

Visited this place during my visit to Lombard. Place was busy brimming with people socializing while having their choice of drink, to group studying and working. There is option to sit outdoors at the back end of the establishment. I enjoyed Adani chai and bakery item. I recommend this place for you to try.

Staff was very friendly. Vibes were immaculate. This would be a really fun place to visit with a large group for coffee! You can order a coffee pot for the table and just hang out. We tried the coffee with cream and cardamom that was delicious! I also had the honeycomb dessert that was a balance of sweet from the honey and savory from the cream cheese. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
